"Candidly poetic, Dawn Laurente-Marfil vividly paints the people in her life in her essays on self, love, loss and moving forward in her debut autobiographical collection. From her growing up years, romantic relationships, heartbreaks, and musings to her early beginnings as a writer, Marfil?s narratives tantalizingly mirror the lives of Filipinas of all ages at different points in life."
